A PGA Pro Reviews the Matzie ASSIST Swing Trainer

I have been giving golf lessons for the past fifteen years, and because of this I have been trying out golf training aids to help make my lessons for effective. I have tried the Leadbetter Swing Setter, the Fix A Slice, the Perfect Swing and tons of other different golf swing aids that have been both good and bad. Some have been more than worth the money, others have made it into the dumpster before even taking a swing with it.
Today I would like to tell you all about the Matzie ASSIST swing trainer. I have used this product for over a month now at The Villages of Terra Vista at Citrus Hills and the results have been positive. Matzie has brought a very good product to the market and hopefully I will help you make the decision to try this new golf training aid.
The ASSIST immediately helped me and my students with Tempo. It is astonishing that even after thirty years of playing the great game of golf that you will get rusty when you do not practice the basic ground rules of your golf swing. Because of the ASSIST’s heavy weight, it helps you remember to pause at the top of your swing. It reminds you to extend through the ball, and to finish with your hands high, not yanked across the body, which usually results in either a pull-hook or a heeled slice. I had five of my students take the ASSIST home and spend fifteen to thirty minutes a day with it after each lesson and they are all hitting the ball much better. Each one of those five students is hitting the ball straighter, longer, and more accurately because of the ASSIST.
After doing some research, I have found that the ASSIST is virtually unbreakable. There are no hinges or weak points to break or crack on this swing trainer. You would have to purposely try to break this product by beating it repeatedly against a stump or perhaps running it over with a bulldozer would work.
I at first thought the molded grip was a bit “too much,” i.e. the right hand was positioned a bit too much under the shaft, but experience persuaded me that my own grip was “weak” and would benefit from a minor adjustment. This proved to be true. If a purchaser does not like the grip, perhaps a pro should be consulted. In any case, if the purchaser does not want to get in to changing his or her grip, it is easy enough to have a normal club grip put on!
Over all I would highly suggest this product to anyone looking to purchase a golf swing training aid. It is an unbelievable golf swing training aid and has the ability to help cure even the most awful swing habits.

To improve every aspect of your game, a good golf instruction book is vital. It will provide numerous instructions and tips that will help you become an accomplished player. If you can play a better game you will enjoy this magnificent sport even more.
Every possible problem will be covered in an instruction book. You will learn how to be more consistent, increase your accuracy, and get more distance. If you are a beginner, a book is even more important because you can learn how to do things correctly before developing any bad habits.
A typical example of help given in a book would be how to hit a ball that has landed in the rough at the edge of a green. You will be told that the way to tackle this lofted shot is to firstly increase the grip of your hands on the club. This will eliminate the possibility of the grass snatching at the club.
You have to make sure that the club accelerates through the rough and keeps its direction as it goes under the ball. This is why golfers do many practice swings before pitching out of the rough. This will give you a good idea of how the grass thickness will affect the shot.
An instruction book will tell you that the more you practice the better you will play. This applies to everything from driving, pitching and putting. Every action will be clearly outlined so that, when you practice, you do it correctly. You will also learn about golfing etiquette which is just as important as playing the game well.
You can buy instruction books at retail stores, golfing clubs or on the internet. If you buy an eBook online, many websites will offer a bonus book for free. Ordering online is a quick and simple procedure. You can download the books immediately and start reading the easy-to-follow instructions with superb graphics and pictures.
Golf involves physical and mental fitness. The psychological aspect of the game is huge, and every golfer has to approach the game with the right mindset. This sport can give rise to a great deal of frustration and angry outbursts. You will learn how to control these feelings. Some days you will play great and some days you will play terrible!
To play the best possible game, physical fitness is also essential. A golf instruction book will focus on exercises that are especially recommended for golfers. Your arms, shoulders, neck and hips play major roles in the game so they need to be in good shape and strong enough to repeat the same movements over and over again.
When the Simple Golf Swing Goes Bad – Game Saving Drill to Correct Your Swing

When your golf swing is operating you are like a baseball pitcher who can’t throw something however strikes. The simple golf swing looks sensible, feels sensible and your ball putting was never higher and you are having a blast playing the game. Then just just like the pitcher who hits a slump, your swing and your game go within the toilet.
Why will that happen? I very cannot say for certain as a result of your golf swing, just like the pitchers’ throw, is distinctive to you and a general rationalization can’t begin to apply to everyone’s swing. Personally I think it has a ton to do with things going on between your ears.
Like Chi Chi Rodriguez said “I extremely believe golf is 50 % technique and ninety % positive thinking. See, but that adds up to a hundred and forty p.c, which is why nobody is a hundred p.c positive the way to play.”
Many years ago I was on a roll when unintentionally I started cutting each shot. I’d begin it out right on the target, then watch the ball create a right hand turn, hit the bottom and continue to roll right. I attempted all sorts of things to compensate and all I did was complicate the swing creating more dangerous shots.
Thus I was on the vary complaining to my buddy, who was experiencing a important increase in skins winnings due to my poor play, and he gave me a tip that turned me around.
He told me my swing plane was too steep. Well knowing the plane is simply too steep and trying to tell the muscles the way to correct it are 2 different things. Therefore my buddy said keep your stance closed. Put your feet along and simply take a quarter swing. When three or four shots in that position I had a nice little pitch going on.
Then he said take a [*fr1] swing. Then a 3 quarter swing. They weren’t all perfect however here’s the neat part. When you can aggressive with the swing, once you get off perfect plane, you nearly fall over as a result of of your closed stance. How’s that for instant feedback.
In the closed stance you are still shifting weight and the basics are the identical, it’s simply if you create an error you will lose your balance. With repetition you will notice the right swing and your muscles can bear in mind it.
Close to the top of the bucket of balls I opened to a traditional stance and hit away. By golly the cut had disappeared. Additional importantly it gave me confidence to create a full traditional swing. Currently I take a couple of closed stance practice swings every time I address the ball.
Therefore then I used to be back to the easy golf swing that works. Try the closed stance drill if you’re having problems with the ball going anywhere but where you would like it to. Simplifying the swing makes it therefore much easier to correct.
I have been enjoying this silly game for over thirty years and I still love it. The only thing that can keep me off from the course on Saturday morning is my wedding anniversary or a heavy natural disaster. I live in Los Angeles and therefore the recent wildfires with their ash and smoke did not stop our group from obtaining in a very round thus when I say serious disaster I’m talking Northridge quake reasonably thing.
Regarding nine months ago I took my game to a replacement level. I bought The Straightforward Golf Swing ebook and my game took off. Now I’m range 2 on our money list and I’m not wanting back. The method may be a little counter intuitive and I don’t recognize if it will work for you but it sure works for me.

What Makes the Simple Golf Swing?

The concept of the game of golf is sort of simple. Hit a ball as near as possible to a hole at a so much side and then put it into a hole. But when you truly strive to do it, you find that’s it not as straightforward as it seems. Just regarding twenty % of golf players achieve this goal with the minimum of strokes and this can be thanks to the inconsistency of their swings. Getting over your issues should not be very difficult; all you wish is consistency.
When your game play technique becomes consistent, you begin to hit the ball squarely and consistently. You get the ball to travel longer distances and reduce 7 to ten additional strokes. Keeping to a straightforward swing helps you get consistency. A easy swing is one where there’s little or no unnecessary movement and one that is continually simple to do. Keeping things simple is the best way to induce anything done successfully.
Your Spine
One among the simplest-kept secrets to a correct golf swing is to own a stable spine. It acts as an axis for the rotation of your body. Golfers having a high handicap additionally have unnecessary movements, rocking or swaying as they swing, leading to a ton of waste of energy and loose focus on the ball. To attenuate swaying, think concerning coiling around your spine and limiting hip movements. This can enable you to put power into your swings.
Limiting Hip Rotation
By keeping your spine stable you’ll be able to limit the rotation of your hip. Boxing requires smart hip rotation however golf is just the opposite. Hip rotation is bad for golf. It causes a swaying movement that creates the swing ineffective. By rotating around your spine you’ll be able to take the movement out of your hips.
The Backswing
Crucial to a correct golf swing is power. The backswing ought to be enough like you’ve got coiled yourself around your spine. Too way a back swing is also not effective.
The higher than are the three basic principles of golf that you have to recollect in the slightest degree times, i.e., keep a stable spine to pivot around, scale back the rotation of your hip and shorten your backswing but not too short. These basic principles can facilitate your in your goal to a correct golf swing.
What you’ve got to keep in mind is that the correct golf swing that the majority effectively strikes the ball has very very little movement to it. This can be the principle professional golfers perceive and that’s why they are successful. Instead of a difficult swing, theirs is easy, consistent and effective. The more easier your swing the a lot of consistent it can be.
Whatever the enjoying condition, easy or harsh and nerve-racking, golfers with a straightforward swing excel. Within the parlance of some golfers, your body “becomes” the right golf swing by long and exhausting training. It’s easy, consistent and effective. And as you achieve this proper golf swing your confidence conjointly increases and consequently your game.
Your confidence in yourself will let you play while not being distracted even in tournaments, where alternative players wilt underneath the pressure. Once you get the proper golf swing and the confidence that you’ll consistently swing, all you’ve got to try and do is mentally tune up your game.

Choosing Which Golf Swing Plane To Use

There are two different swing planes you can choose from when playing golf. These planes are opposites of each other and are used for different things as a flat plane produces more power while an upright plant provides greater accuracy.
There are three separate sections to a golf swing; the backswing, the downswing and the follow through. Before you can chose which swing plane to use it is important that you have proper and correct form for your golf swing otherwise you will always have problems with the different swing planes. You can practice good form by videotaping yourself or by swinging in front of a full length mirror.
Before you can even begin to work on the swing plane you need to be using a proper golf swing and there are three parts to work on; the golf back swing, the golf downswing and the follow through of your swing. Before you can work on the different golf planes you need to be able to perform a perfect swing every time using muscle memory. It is good to see yourself in a mirror or to tape yourself when swinging to see what needs improvement.
An upright swing plane usually has the hands achieve a very high position at to the top of the backswing. Instead of completely swinging round your shoulders the arms will rise up to change the plane. The greater the gap you achieve between your right arm and body than the more upright the swing is.
If you want to change between the different wings then you will need to remember the positions unique to each plane. The name can really help you to remember what to do, as they describe it plane very well.
If you are having problems mastering the different planes then you should not try to correct it on the golf course. If you attempt to fix things when you are playing a game you will simply be frustrated and will not make any progress. It is best to go to a driving range or other spot in which you can practice.
These two golf swing planes are quite different and generally a professional may only use one. It is up to you to choose the best swing for your golf game.
Learn How To Develop A Good Golf Swing Tempo

Golf is really a great activity. It is a sport that can be enjoyed by women and men, no matter what their age. If you are trying to find the right way to develop your handicap then you’ll have to focus on your golf swing tempo. For most players it is this aspect of their overall performance that’ll pinpoint how well they play.
When we first pick up a club it may take a lot of practice to develop the correct posture and swing. Don’t get frustrated if you keep on slicing your balls into the rough or a water feature. Even the most popular players had to start with the fundamentals. It takes time and experience to acquire the right skills. Even if your golf swing tempo is just off then the ball will not be hit as desired.
To get the swing right you’ll need to learn about the correct positioning of your hips, shoulders, arms, and wrists. Through understanding the right posture you will find it much easier to get the tempo and swing to go as hoped. It should require an all in one motion. By emptying your mind of all over thoughts and simply focusing on the ball and where you want it to land you will see better results.
As with any sport, the more you practice the better you will become. Golf is no different. To develop a good golf swing will require many months of practice. To be a specialist at any sporting activity requires determination and effort, if you are not committed then it will be harder for you to achieve the results you are after. The best golf swings are those that are natural, the less thought involved the better.
When you swing the clubs keep the motion smooth and steady; this is on both upswing and downswing. By studying the world’s top players you’ll see just how smooth their tempo swing is.
There are other factors that will determine how you will make contact with the ball. For instance the grip you have is as vital as your overall posture. Though there are a few ways to hold a club, most professionals will place their hands and fingers in the same way around the top.
Only after all the dynamics are fully understood and carried out in the right way will you be able to have a golf swing that makes you the envy of all the other players on the course.
The Ultimate Swing Training Program

Why is not your golf swing improving? Have you ever ever had your golf swing analysed? That’s not simply having a golf professional observe your swing but try your golf swing plane, posture, your spine angle, balance and general biomechanics. If you haven’t you’re not having a real swing analysis done.
You perceive the basics… how to hold the club, where to face, however things fail from there. The rationale your golf swing goes astray when you’re taking your club back is as a result of your biomechanics are faulty. For example, if you have a useful short leg on your left aspect, when you take your stance your hips can rotate ensuing in an open stance. You may think that you are sq. to the target line, however you are not.
Together with your poor biomechanics the club is being forced into an out-to-in swing so you will hit the ball with a clockwise spine. Correcting your hip and spine angle will sq. the club face at impact thus you’ll be able to hit the ball with an anti-clockwise spin. The hips and shoulders must come back to a square position this can not only cure your slice but you allow distance from a lot of power being generated from the correct body flip and the square club face. If your hips are rotated you will not be ready to align your feet, hips and shoulders square to the target. If your posture is corrected your muscles can groove your new swing thus you will naturally come to a stance with a sq. club face. Additionally if your hips are rotated your centre of gravity can not be right this will force your shoulders to flip too quickly with an open stance because of a poor hip rotation the body will be in front of the ball. If your spine angle is wrong you may not setup along with your head behind the ball you’ll begin your downswing before you have got complete your back swing along with your arms.
Each golf swing fault can be analysed this way. That is why your golf swing is not improving. You’re not addressing your main piece of golf equipment…YOUR BODY…and how it affects your golf swing. This is often why you’ve got issue repeating a sensible shot. Your biomechanics are not grooved to a sensible swing. Muscle memory goes to come back you to a poor posture unless it is retrained. Your golf professional is telling you to have good balance, keep good posture and maintain your spine angle throughout the shot. However how will you maintain your golf swing if your body won’t permit it? You need your golf swing analysed from a biomechanical purpose of view to see how your posture and muscle imbalances are affecting your swing.
Therefore I broke the golf swing down from a purely biomechanical view. How will your posture affect your swing? Can it cause you to hook, slice, hit the ball fat or skinny etc? The solution was yes. As a result of as your posture changes thus does your swing plane. Then I checked out the variations in posture. Can they relate to swing faults? …Yes, they’re definitely connected to each swing fault. Therefore I came up with a basic equation. Muscle imbalance = poor posture = poor swing. I looked at every posture and muscle imbalance and came up with a straightforward formula to analyse these faults related to a swing fault. Thus this is often how Get Fit to Golf and also the ChiroFit Program was born. If you can maintain a continuing posture and spine angle through an attempt you’ll be ready to repeat the identical swing and return the club face sq. to the target line. I conjointly checked out well grasp golf champions past and gift, from Ben Hogan, Jack Nickalus, Greg Norman, Tiger Woods etc. While they need variations in their swings at initial look, if you break their golf swing down they all have one thing in common. At the impact zone they need maintained good posture, spine angle and balance, and they’re able to repeat this. Tiger woods may be a good example. When he 1st came on the golf scene he had the simplest posture of any golfer I had seen.
If you want to improve your golf game, your golf swing coaching and analysis ought to have a physical component. Have your golf swing analysed from a biomechanical normal and then match it to your game. This can be the premise to Get Match to Golf. An easy to access on-line assessment method that can highlight and analyse your golf swing faults and then you’ll download a tailor-made easy to use program all done online. All it takes is 30 minutes of posture balancing three times a week to dramatically modification your golf swing and improve your game for life.

How to Switch to an Upright Golf Swing Plane and the Benefits it Has to Your Distance and Accuracy
February 19, 2010 by articles
As a golf instructor I can see no reason why golfers ought to not adopt an upright swing plane irrespective of their physique or flexibility.
However, if you go online to search “golf swing plane” you’ll see multiple explanations about the subject and simply as many differing versions concerning what is correct and what’s not correct.
As I will show shortly from a purely mechanics and physics point of read, the advantages in distance and accuracy so much outweigh those of a flatter swing plane and for those reasons alone I recommend and teach the ideas of adopting a more upright swing for all my students.
Swing plane angles are usually related to a golfer’s height.
Golfers who are shorter in height are said to possess a flatter swing plane.
It’s also common to see golfers adopt a flat swing motion due to characteristics of their physique that limit the vary of their swing flexibility, like their chest and mid section size.
On the other hand taller golfers naturally swing with a more upright swing plane simply as a result of of the increased height of their shoulders from the ground.
However, the physical characteristics of a golfer are not the only things that govern their swing plane angle.
What also determines swing plane is how they position themselves in their setup, and the way they rotate their shoulders on the backswing…
Swing Plane Angle
Before I get into the specifics of an upright swing let me first define how the angle of the swing plane is often understood.
I say that as a result of I’m sure like most passionate golfers you have read Ben Hogan’s book “5 lessons. The modern fundamentals of golf” and his explanation of swing plane is in all probability one that’s stuck firmly in your mind.
Here is his explanation…
Attempt to image a golfer forming a right angled triangle in their setup position.
The vertical facet of the triangle is made from the top of their shoulders/neck to the ground around their feet position. The horizontal facet is made from the club head and ball position to that time on the bottom that meets the vertical side of the triangle.
The hypotenuse, or long aspect of the triangle, is decided from the club head to the point on their shoulders.
The classic understanding of the angle of the swing plane is that it is the angle between the hypotenuse and also the horizontal aspect of this triangle. (Bear in mind the plate of glass illustration in Hogan’s book resting on the golfers shoulder…)
You’ll be able to currently imagine how this angle would increase or decrease due to the peak of the golfer and why swing plane is usually related to the golfers shoulder height.
The rationale why I say this is how swing plane angle is typically determined is that there is a big assumption with this theory that’s incorrect most of the time…
What it assumes is {that the} club head swing path follows this same angle throughout the backswing thus {that the} high point of the swing lies on an extended line that’s drawn from the ball through the high of the shoulders to the hands at the top of the swing…
The fact is {that the} angle at which the swing “truly” rotates can be totally totally different resulting in the hands reaching the prime point of the swing either below or on top of the point of the “Hogan plate glass definition.”
The rationale for this is {that the} swing plane angle is not only influenced by your setup, it’s principally determined by the plane around that your shoulders rotate.
Your setup might show one swing plane angle which will be entirely totally different from the particular plane of rotation of your shoulders.
Here’s why…
Rotational Planes of your Shoulders
To understand your shoulder rotation motion, stand upright in front of a mirror. Hold your arms out straight from each side. You’ll be able to rotate your shoulders during a horizontal plane round the axis of your spine… which is easy to do.
Now try and rotate your shoulders in an exceedingly vertical plane by lifting your right arm and dropping your left arm therefore that you just maintain a straight line from hand at hand across your shoulders. The axis of rotation in this plane may be a point on your chest just below your chin….this motion is not terribly simple to execute.
The truth of your shoulder flip on the backswing is that it is operating in a very combination of both vertical and horizontal motion.
As you would expect, a shoulder flip that is moving a lot of within the horizontal plane can create a flatter swing plane.
One that is operating additional during a vertical plane can turn out a a lot of upright swing plane.
So when we go back to the classic Hogan clarification of the swing plane being ruled by the setup and height of the golfer, the only method {that a} golfer can be on that same plane at the top of their swing is that if the combined horizontal and vertical movements of their shoulder turn happens to match that angle.
This seldom occurs…
Having this understanding that swing plane is affected additional by your shoulder rotation than your setup and height allows you to create changes to your backswing to realize a number of the advantages from an upright swing path.
Here are some of the key reasons why I continually advocate a more upright swing plane that are primarily based on the mechanics and physics of the swing.
Improved Consistency of your Swing Accuracy
The first reason affects the accuracy and ball flight path of your shot.
If you have got ever reviewed my free video on the “Understanding the mechanics of common swing faults” where I define the physics of why your shots “fly” in the style the do , the result of all of your golf shots boils right down to 2 major factors:
• The direction your shoulders are aiming at the purpose of contact with the ball
• The orientation of your club head face at the purpose of contact with the ball
The flatter your swing plane the a lot of your shoulders are moving within the horizontal plane.
This implies they’re solely “aiming” at the target at a purpose simply before contact and shortly once contact. That’s because the club head motion is moving more “across” the target line like a baseball swing rather than towards the target line like a putting swing.
Outside of this very tiny region the direction your shoulders are aiming is further to the right of the target on the down swing and further to the left of the target on the follow through (opposite for lefties).
The success of a flatter swing plane needs a high degree of “timing” and balance within the swing through the contact point since there’s terribly very little margin for error.
The amount of “ball spin” generated by a poorly timed swing conjointly determines the accuracy of the shot.
The relative difference between the shoulder swing plane and also the orientation of the club face at the purpose of contact determines the number of spin generated on the ball.
The a lot of the shoulders are moving “across” the target line the bigger the ball spin created leading to exaggerated hooks or slices.
On the other hand an upright swing is made by the shoulders moving more in the vertical plane which suggests that the time the shoulders are moving down the target line is a ton longer during the swing.
The result is {that the} club head moves down the target line over a larger region of the swing giving the next margin of error for timing and balance problems.
The impact on ball spin is also reduced, because the shoulders swing less “across” the target line at contact for a poorly timed shot.
In both cases the consistency of your swing accuracy will improve the additional upright your swing plane angle…
Higher Swing Power and Distance
Observe all of the large hitters on tour and one in all the common options you will notice is most adopt an upright swing.
I wrote regarding this in an exceedingly previous Turnberry newsletter but it’s worth reviewing the reasons why an upright swing plane generates additional power for the swing:
• The hands and club head can be higher off the bottom at the prime of the swing generating more “potential energy” for the swing. When you think of the energy that can be created by hoisting a twenty-30lb weight on top of your shoulders and dropping it, you’ll understand where increased energy comes for the swing. That weight being the combined weight of your club and arms.
• You utilize your powerful muscles down your right aspect and also the high of your left shoulder which can generate additional power for the swing than using the power of your lower back muscles rotating around the bottom of your spine in a flatter swing.
Improved Balance
Your balance throughout the backswing and downswing is plagued by the centrifical force of rotating the club head as it is in motion and on what angle that force is functioning on your trunk.
The centrifical force generated by the club head moving in an exceedingly circular path acts to pull your shoulders forward toward the ball that can have an effect on the steadiness of your trunk throughout your swing.
To give you and exaggerated example of the impact this might have on your balance, try to imagine the action of an athlete throwing the hammer.
In this case the athlete has to beat the large centrifical force needed to rotate the hammer by “leaning back” so as to remain balanced during the spin.
A flatter swing plane has a similar impact on the balance of the golfer who must counter the impact of the centrifical force need to rotate the club head with the lower back muscles so as to carry the trunk in position throughout the swing.
Throughout an upright swing this centrifical force is being generated additional up through the trunk and legs from the ground generating less result on your lower back muscles allowing your trunk to remain a lot of stable.
How to Generate an Upright Swing
As abundant as you would possibly expect your setup to impact the plane angle, it impacted additional by your shoulder rotation.
I encourage you to begin your swing with a “downward rotation” of your left shoulder…
Several golfers initiate their swing by moving their hands.
For golfers who may be stiff in their trunk flexibility, shoulders or may have a few inches a lot of around their mid section than they would love, beginning the swing with their hands encourages them to “wrap” their swing around their body inflicting a flat swing plane.
That’s because their shoulders are moving additional in the horizontal plane.
The web swing results can be excessive slicing, with the ball beginning the flight path heavily to the left, or pushing the ball to the right.
This is often as a result of the region where the club head is moving down the target line is very tiny lowering the margin of error for accuracy within the swing as I coated earlier.
Start your swing by a downward movement of the left shoulder and you will counter this problem.
It ensures your swing begins with more of a vertical rotation of the shoulders. By doing so your shoulders will be rotating more down the target line.
Mirror Exercise for Correct Setup
The other area that can have an effect on your swing plane is your setup.
I encourage you to apply this swing initiation drill along with your left shoulder flip in front of a mirror at home.
As you turn watch your hand motion. Modify your setup in order to make it easier to turn vertically and move your hands along a a lot of upright swing plane.
Here are a few pointers to assist you:
• Let your arms hang vertically down in the stance along with your hands positioned not more than six inches far from your leg
• Keep your back straight from the hips up. Don’t let your shoulder hunch forward
• If you’re massive chested you will need to lean forward a lot of within the stance to present your arms more clearance to move straight back instead of wrap around your body
As you go through this routine you’re doubtless to feel muscle stiffness in the back swing that you’re not used to…especially in your left shoulder.
That’s because it’s abundant easier to rotate your shoulders horizontally around your spine than to rotate them vertically.
This can be traditional since the motion in the vertical plane uses completely different muscles in your golf swing.
Shoulder Flexibility
Many golfers are just too stiff in the shoulders to try to to this effectively and when they first strive an upright swing plane on the range they find the results disappointing.
Ought to this occur, shorten your backswing considerably as a result of the stiffness of your golf muscles within the upright swing plane is inflicting other areas of your swing to breakdown.
Caution: Never allow your left elbow to break when making an attempt to swing a lot of upright. You will defeat the purpose of the adjustment to the next swing plane and solely cause yourself a lot of timing problems.
An exercise I recommend to boost shoulder flexibility within the vertical plane is to take a brush handle and place it across your shoulders and then wrap your elbows and arms over the high of the handle.
For a few individuals this could be a stretching exercise in itself, therefore do it gently without stressing the shoulder muscles.
Currently move the handle straight down one side as way as you’ll be able to go, and hold for 60 seconds. As you hold the stretch, don’t allow your hips to maneuver sideways in the other direction as this can counter the stretch.
Likewise keep your trunk upright and straight as much as doable throughout the stretch.
Currently do the same motion in the opposite direction.
After some days of this stretch, you will find your distance on the vary will improve as you begin to extend your backswing more. But, you ought to see marked improvement your accuracy consistency right from the start the more you swing down the target line.
